Use the Mach 3 Razor by Gillette, its the absolute best. I also use Noxzema Shaving Cream followed by bikini zone. Both help prevent irritation afterwards. IP: Logged |

Hello I also shave my face. I use the Mach 3 with lots of shavng gel, and lots of moisturiser later. Eva ------------------ DX pcos Jan 2001 "She is buffeted by the waves but she does not sink" IP: Logged |

I PLUCK, pluck pluck! It doesn't hurt at all on my chin. And I use glycolic acid to reduce ingrows. IP: Logged |

I second that- the tweezer is your friend. I think it grows back slower too, since the hairs come out by the root. Happy plucking...lol! Aimee IP: Logged |

I use the Emjoi Gently Gold Hair Remover. I love it and it works GREAT. I don't know how I ever lived without it. You can find it here: I would recommend it to everyone.

Hi, I get electrolysis. I just recently started doing my chest. Since I am on aldactone, I don't get much new hair growth so once the old ones are gone, I only have to go once in a while for a clean up. Prior to my recent visits, I didn't have to go for 3 years! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi, I have just come out of the land of lurk, and wanted you to know that I finally don't feel alone in this. After so many years I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism. Nothing is worse then the hair, it is so stressful for me. Takes me forever to get myself ready to go out. I have different methods for different parts. I use emjoi on my cheeks, it's amazing if you have light hair. I use a tweezer on my chin which is the worst, and I wax with surgi wax on my lip which is so easy cuz it's no wax strip and microwavable. What embarasses me most, is I can't have my husband ever touch my face, I avoid it at all costs. This depresses me, if only I could use that hour of tweezing for good, instead of wasting each and every day doing that, and really not accomplishing anything cuz a few hours later, I'm back at it. I just started 500 mg of gloucaphage and I have had no real problems with it except bloating, but am fine now with it. If anyone has a better method, please share. Blessings to all IP: Logged |

I shave. I used to pluck, but there is just too much, and by the time it gets long enoug to tweeze, it is sooooo noticable. It's embarassing. I am going camping with a friend in June, and I am anxious already. She doesn't know that I shave, and I am not about to tell her. So, it is up early each morning for me and down to the showers to shave. What a pain. I am thinking of getting the money together for laser hair removal. It will cost me about $500, but OHIP (Ontario health care) may be considering covering it for medical conditions. I am not holding my breath, but that would be nice. ------------------ IP: Logged |
